Search on EC-number
In this option the list of EC-numbers (left column) and names (right column) is presented. By default the list of EC-numbers is ordered from low to high.
Scrolling through the list
By placing the cursor anywhere in the list, it gives focus to a substance. In this way the substance is selected and the information about available OEL's en Sampling Methods is to be viewed. It is also possible to scroll through the list. The selected substance changes accordingly
Search via text box
The EC number consists of three groups of digits. The lowest 'number' in the first group is 200. Enter a 2 or higher higher in the text box 'Search on EC number'. The arrow in the left column (the focus) stops at the first EC number that meets the entered digits. After entering the next digit, the cursor stops at the first agent that meets the entered digits. And so on until you reach the desired agent.
Magnifying glass
Another way of using the text box "Search on EC-number" is the use of the magnifying glass. Clicking on the magnifying glass, on the right side of this text box, gives a list of all the substances that comply with the search parameter (filter on basis of the search parameter). Clicking again ("deselecting" this button) on the magnifying glass returns to the previous situation. This feature is the most of use after typing in a set of digit (f.i. "245" gives all substances with "245" anywhere in the EC-number).
